Cafe Forty OneAfternoon Tea is a British tradition and apparently dates back to the 1800's. It's a meal that usually takes place between lunch and dinner, and is usually composed of sandwiches, scones (with cream and jam), as well as pastries and cakes. A vegan afternoon tea would of course be egg-free and dairy-free. One of the best places in London for a vegan afternoon tea is Cafe Forty One, a vegan cafe located at La Suite West Hotel in the Queensway/Bayswater area of London. The cafe has had very good reviews. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
